Benoit Badiashile, a center-back for Monaco, will have a physical at Chelsea today in preparation for his anticipated transfer to the west London club, according to Sky Sports.
Chelsea and Monaco have achieved a complete deal for Badiashile to relocate to Stamford Bridge for an estimated £35 million transfer fee.
Since the conclusion of the previous campaign, Chelsea has been searching for a left-footed center back. In December, negotiations to sign Badiashile were initiated.
Remember that despite manager Graham Potter being vague about Badiashile’s probable move to the Premier League’s elite club, Chelsea was in advanced negotiations to recruit the 21-year-old Frenchman.
As Chelsea fights for a top-four spot in the league, Potter is eager to boost his back line this January and has identified the young player as the perfect target.
