Andre Onana, the goalkeeper for Manchester United, has decided to resume his international career and will play for Cameroon.
This was acknowledged by Onana in a statement on Monday.
In time for the Indomitable Lions’ upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, the 27-year-old will rejoin the team.
Onana departed the national team camp at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar after a disagreement with head coach Rigobert Song over tactics.
He announced his retirement from international football shortly after that.
Even though an olive branch had been extended in recent weeks, Onana was still rumored to be on the fence about going back to work abroad.
He has since made the decision to take the call, and he will begin next week’s match against Burundi.
