Heartland wins the first game, while Rivers Angels and Delta Queens split the spoils

The Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) match between the former champions Rivers Angels and Delta Queens ended in a 0-0 tie at Port Harcourt.

Following the tie, Delta Queens lost points for the first time this season.

Naija Ratels in Abuja forced defending champions Bayelsa Queens to a 1-1 tie.

Agama Ziperekefeghe tied the score for the hosts 17 minutes from time after Sunday Juliet had given Bayelsa Queens the lead with a header in the first half.

Heartland Queens defeated Royal Queens 1-0 in Warri to get their first victory of the year.

The winning goal was scored by Orji Chiwendu five minutes before halftime.

Ijeoma Obi scored the game-winning goal as Adamawa Queens defeated Nasarawa Amazons 1-0 for their third victory of the season.

With 13 points, Delta Queens lead Group A, while Bayelsa Queens are in second place with 11 points.

With 12 points, Edo Queens lead Group B, followed by Adamawa Queens, Nasarawa Amazons, Abia Angels, and Confluence Queens, who each have seven points.
