Chelsea is getting closer to replacing Broja at Stamford Bridge

Forward Joao Felix of Atletico Madrid is reportedly close to joining Chelsea on a season-long loan.

Graham Potter’s team is trying to land Felix by outbidding Arsenal and Manchester United.

The Blues have reportedly moved up in line for the Portugal international and are eager to sign him as a temporary substitute for Armando Broja, who is out for the season due to injury, according to the Telegraph.

Recall that Broja underwent surgery after sustaining an ACL injury earlier this month during a friendly match against Aston Villa.

Nevertheless, Felix is regarded as the best temporary replacement and finally took Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s place at Stamford Bridge.

Felix, 23, is free to leave Atletico Madrid in January after falling down the pecking order under head coach Diego Simeone.
