The former captain of Arsenal, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, has come under fire from Chelsea veteran Chris Sutton, who claims the striker exhibits a lack of interest.
Graham Potter, the manager of Chelsea, may never use Aubameyang again for the Blues, according to Sutton.
He made this statement following Chelsea’s 1-0 loss to Manchester City in the Premier League on Thursday night at Stamford Bridge.
Aubameyang had a promising beginning to his Chelsea career, but the striker has now gone ten games without scoring and appears to be a shell of the player that dominated the Premier League at the height of his abilities with Arsenal.
“Aubameyang seems disinterested in being present this evening. He is not alone in this. Sutton told the BBC, “Cucurella, they have spent a million on him and he looks well, well short for a Chelsea squad that wants to win championships.
“I wonder if Graham Potter is considering how he can use Aubameyang in a Chelsea uniform again after how awful he was.
“I’m always reluctant to criticize players for lack of effort or unprofessional body language, but Aubameyang completely personified that; I thought he was pitiful and hopeless and didn’t contribute nearly enough.
Graham Potter might be thinking, “Blimey, he’s never going to play in a Chelsea jersey again under me,” because of the way he appeared indifferent.
