Diogo Dalot, a right defender for Manchester United, has shared what David de Gea said to him following his error in Friday’s 3-1 FA Cup victory over Everton.
According to Dalot, De Gea claimed that when the ball was played in by an Everton player, he did not anticipate it to pass past his legs.
Even though the goal did not prevent the Red Devils from moving on to the FA Cup second round, the defender was nevertheless held accountable for the error.
De Gea had permitted the Toffees’ equalizer in the first half to occur by allowing the ball to slip through his legs.
However, Manchester United rallied to win the game 3-1 and guarantee a spot in the fourth round.
