Patrice Evra, a former player for Manchester United, stated that Bruno has taken over as the team’s manager now that Cristiano Ronaldo has left.
After Ronaldo’s transfer from Juventus in the summer of 2021, Evra naturally sees Fernandes as the talisman and key player at Old Trafford.
Prior to the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup, Ronaldo’s contract at Old Trafford was terminated in November.
That came after the legendary footballer from Portugal gave a controversial interview to renowned British journalist Piers Morgan in which he attacked the club’s leadership, manager, owners, and even his fellow players.
At the team, Fernandes and Ronaldo split the duty of taking penalties, and the midfielder dropped down the lineup after missing two of his attempts.
And right now, Evra is happy that the Portuguese offensive midfielder is once again in charge.
Evra reportedly stated, “Bruno Fernandes has to be the main man and you can feel it now that Ronaldo is not here anymore and you can feel that he is the leader again.”
He is the one taking free kicks and corner kicks, and I apologize, but Bruno Fernandes needs those.
