Posted by Barr Peter Mbah, governor of Enugu State, has formed a Multi-Sectoral Committee to deal with any public health emergency, including a potential Anthrax outbreak.
Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, the State Government’s Secretary, said as much in a statement.
Dr. Ifeanyi Agujiobi, Permanent Secretary in the Health Ministry of Enugu State, is serving as the committee’s interim head.

Dr. Columba T. Vakuru, the country’s chief veterinary officer and an official with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, first sounded the alarm about a probable anthrax outbreak a few days ago.
