Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun State, has stated that his administration is dedicated to obeying the law.

Adeleke also reaffirmed his commitment to upholding the law, particularly in matters pertaining to chieftaincy in the State.

This pledge was made on Tuesday when receiving the Review Committee on Chieftaincy Affairs report from the committee’s members, according to a statement signed by Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke’s spokeswoman.

The Review Committee was one of the bodies Ademola Adeleke established as soon as he took office on November 27, 2022, as kuryaloaded remembers.

The Committee was also tasked with investigating the contention surrounding Osun State’s chieftaincy affairs, namely all kingship appointments made following the State’s gubernatorial election on July 16.

Governor Adeleke pledged to review the report and put its suggestions into practice after praising the Committee for rigorously carrying out its task.

When put into practice, the Committee’s findings, according to him, “would contribute to the harmonious coexistence of the people of the State in matters of traditional ruling concerns.”

Adeleke asserted, “I will guarantee complete respect for the rule of law and due process would govern all acts being taken under my leadership.

When presenting the committee’s findings, Bunmi Jenyo, the chairman, said that its members had carried out their responsibilities with justice, equity, and fairness without compromising the committee’s objectives.

He stated that “the committee produced comprehensive suggestions to support the State administration in making future choices in the domain of chieftaincy matters of Osun State.”
