The late Mohammed Yusuf, the founder of Boko Haram, has been compared to Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, or IPOB.
APC chairman Adamu Garba also compared the supposed disciple of Kanu, Simon Ekpa, to the late Abubakar Shekau, the head of Boko Haram.
Ekpa should be dealt lightly, according to Garba, and deplatformed from social media.
Ekpa asserts that Simon Ekpa of IPOB is comparable to Abubakar Shekau of Boko Haram, just as Nnamdi Kanu of IPOB is comparable to Mohammed Yusuf of Boko Haram.
Second-in commands are frequently more violent. We shouldn’t joke around with this Ekpa man.
“We ought to band together to deplatform Ekpa as a national obligation.”
Ekpa was charged with trying to wipe out the Southeast by ordering people to stay at home late last year.
IPOB, however, disassociated itself from the Ekpa sit-at-home directive.
The Ohanaeze Ndigbo socio-political group demanded Ekpa’s arrest as a result.
