IPOB lawyer, Ejimakor: Buhari government is aware that Nnamdi Kanu requires surgery

Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), is in need of surgery, according to Aloy Ejimakor, special counsel to Kanu.

Kanu needed surgery, according to Ejimakor, but the Nigerian authorities disregarded this fact since August.

He claimed that the Nigerian government should free Kanu because of his health.

For the avoidance of any misunderstanding, Ejimakor stated in a tweet that the Nigerian government was aware that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu needed surgery since August 2022.

“In addition to the Court’s directives, this is sufficient to grant him his right to independent medical treatment or to release him. It is the accepted practice around the world.

Ejimakor recently claimed that Kanu needed to see a specialist due to a cardiac condition and mineral shortages.

Kanu was allegedly refused access to his medication for nine days by the Department of State Services, according to Ejimakor.

He added that the IPOB leader was denied food by the DSS.

Since June 2021, when Kanu was detained in Kenya and subjected to extraordinary rendition, he has been imprisoned.

Nigerian courts have given him bail since his arrest, but the administration won’t let him go.
