Midfielder N’Golo Kante has been advised to listen to his body and contemplate making a surprising retirement choice by Chelsea veteran Frank Lebouef.
Only two appearances have been allowed for Kante this season for Chelsea.
The France international has yet to appear for the new Chelsea manager Graham Potter after skipping the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup competition.
The 31-year-old is still a long way from being prepared to return to Chelsea.
In each of the previous two seasons, the former Leicester City star has struggled with knee and groin ailments, and it appears that his body is failing him.
Lebouef believes that Kante’s best course of action might be to decide to prematurely end his spectacular career.
Lebouef said to Safe Betting Sites, “I have not directly spoken to [N’Golo] Kante about his fitness and how he feels, but it may be that he is towards the end of it [his career].”
“Because the fact is, we need to remember that we’re talking about people. Your body suddenly tells you, “Okay, enough.
The end of your career is also a part of your career, and you must decide when is the best time to give up, he continued. Even if you don’t want to and even if you want to continue playing fantastic football.:
