Only 10,692 of the country’s 15,931 electrical projects, according to the Federal Government’s Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency, NEMSA, have received certification as good and standardized in the nation’s power industry.
On Sunday, Aliyu Tahir, the managing director of NEMSA, revealed this to kuryaloaded.
According to Tahir, the inspection and certification process is necessary to reduce the risks connected with electrical misuse, which can result in accidents, fatalities, and equipment damage.
He claims that the organization has tracked 12,114 electricity systems around the country.
“Inspection of over 15,931 electrical projects around the nation, of which 10,692 have been declared fit for use by NEMSA,” he stated.
He said, “Over 3,255 electrical installations at factories and hazardous buildings have been inspected by NEMSA.”
