On Thursday, it was announced that Chelsea Academy product Dion Rankine would be spending the upcoming season on loan with League One’s Exeter City.
The Blues made the announcement on their website.
Rankine will have his first taste of senior football thanks to his loan at Exeter. Part of Chelsea’s statement said, “The Grecians finished 14th in League One last season.”
At the age of 14, Rankine moved to Chelsea from Cambridge United.
During his time in the Cobham Academy, the 20-year-old has played fullback, wingback, and winger.
