Senator Shehu Sani, a leader in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has urged Davido to remove his recent video tweet, which has sparked controversy.

On Saturday, the singer was attacked after tweeting a controversial video for the new single “Jaye Lo” by his signee Logos Olori.

Several Muslim leaders had given Davido until midnight to remove the offensive tweet.

The musician, however, appears to have disregarded the criticism, as the video, which features controversial Islamic content, is still available on his page.

Sani, a former politician, reacted on Sunday by tweeting some words of wisdom to the artist.

He thinks Davido should have deleted the tweet because it has become offensive to some of his followers.

He penned, “As an artist or entertainer, it will be most honorable for you to delete or edit that portion, apologize to them, and move on if your fans feel offended by any part of your work, especially if it pertains to their culture, faith, or religious beliefs.” I want to discuss Davido right now. My thoughts exactly.
