Former Manchester United midfielder Kleberson has urged manager Erik ten Hag to sign Goncalo Ramos from Portugal’s World Cup squad to take Cristiano Ronaldo’s spot up front at Old Trafford.
After Man United mutually agreed to end Ronaldo’s contract last month, Ten Hag is looking for a new center forward in January.
To succeed Ronaldo at the club, Kleberson contends that Man United under Ten Hag needs a goal scorer with a track record of success, such as Ramos.
Kleberson told Ladbrokes, “They [Manchester United] need someone who can come in and score goals.
“They need a sure goalscorer, even if it takes that player a little bit to adjust to whatever system the manager [Ten Hag] wants to play. The young Portuguese man, Goncalo Ramos, may be that person.
“Despite his youth, he has already demonstrated his talent by scoring a hat trick against Switzerland at the [2022 FIFA] World Cup, the largest stage of them all.
He may turn out to be their new Cristiano Ronaldo based on the way he plays, moves, and interacts with his teammates. He would benefit from moving to United.
