Marcel Tisserand, a defender for Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia, has issued a message to Cristiano Ronaldo’s teammates.

He thinks the 37-year-old forward is bright and adjusting swiftly to life at the Arab club, despite suggestions that he is past his prime.

According to the defender, Ronaldo’s teammates must be ready to pass the ball to him as he makes rapid movements in the opposition area.

Last Saturday, the football legend made his debut for Al-Nassr, playing the whole 90 minutes as his team defeated Ettifaq 1-0.

Ronaldo faced French-Congolese defender Tisserand, and the defender has recently opened out about his experience facing the renowned goalscorer:

“You can tell he takes care of himself. “He definitely doesn’t have his 20-year-old legs,” he told Foot Mercato.

“We can tell that he now needs his teammates even more. He uses his head more, pays more attention to his motions, and has a better sense of timing. He changes along with the times. I believe he will adjust fast to this title.”
