On Sunday, the group made their announcement.

The death of the 27-year-old singer from Lagos State was reported by kuryaloaded.

But SPANCI says the musician will be fine provided his plea to the police about the danger to his life is dealt with and examined quickly.

In a statement titled “Justice for Mohbad” released to kuryaloaded on Sunday, SPANCI President Comrade Yemi Ezekiel Bello urged the acting Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun to handle the situation professionally in light of the petition’s allegations and the viral videos that have indicted certain individuals.

He demanded that if anyone was discovered responsible for the singer’s death, they be punished to the full extent of the law by the IGP.

To the family of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, also known as Mohbad, we at Save the Poor and Needy Charity Initiative (SPANCI) extend our deepest sympathies,” the organization said in a statement.

While the IGP has issued a directive, we urge a sober and thorough investigation of the claims made in his earlier petition and several online videos. As we implore the family to let law enforcement do their duty, including exhuming the body for autopsy, we will be indicting some people and the accused NDLEA officers so that the wrongdoers will be caught and no innocents will be punished.

“We are of the opinion that Mohbad’s death was planned in such a confusing way to affect prosecution and justice, and that he was killed because he left some group of people for a better life of decency; consequently, his death needs to be probed and a thorough investigation be done so that any person found guilty may be dealt with according to the law in the interest of justice, to prevent a recurrence of same, and to protect the right to life of the people, because when
