John Barnes, a former player for Liverpool, claimed that the Red Devils weren’t significantly harmed by Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure from Manchester United.
Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, and Fred all scored as Manchester United easily defeated Nottingham Forest in their most recent Premier League match this week.
Ronaldo left the club last month when his contract was cancelled. Ronaldo scored 24 goals for the club last season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick.
Despite being only one point and one game behind Spurs in the standings, Manchester United is currently in fifth place.
And Barnes thinks that the Red Devils have been better since Ronaldo left, raising the likelihood of a top-four finish.
“Since Cristiano Ronaldo was released, Manchester United has performed extremely well. They seem a little more certain, but I still anticipate uneven behavior from them.
