The Liverpool debut of Cody Gakpo, the team’s new forward, has received a candid review from Jurgen Klopp.
The 2-2 FA Cup draw between Liverpool and Wolves on Saturday was the Dutch player’s debut game for the club.
Gakpo began on the left wing on Saturday after joining Liverpool this month in a £37 million transfer from Dutch club PSV Eindhoven.
The World Cup star played for 84 minutes until Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain took his place.
Klopp acknowledged on ITV after the game that the 23-year-old was not properly fixed in his position.
He was a good fit for the game. For a first attempt, it was not simple.
“It won’t be perfect, but he showed promising indicators. After the game, Klopp remarked, “We have to put him in better places, but that will happen.
