The Algerian international reportedly turned down an offer of £480,000 a week to join the exodus to the Middle East, which would amount to £25 million per year.
That’s significantly less than the weekly salary of £700,000 that Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson was promised.
However, talkSPORT has learned that Saudi club Al Ahli has offered the Man City winger a whopping £45 million per year to join the team.
Compared to Henderson, that’s a weekly wage of about £865,000, which is commensurate with his reputation as a five-time Premier League winner.
Also, it’s a significant increase from his present weekly wage of £160,000 at Man City.
