Arsenal can win the Premier League this season, according to former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson, despite forward Gabriel Jesus’ FIFA World Cup injury.

Prior to the 2022 FIFA World Cup break, Arsenal, which finished sixth previous season, jumped five points clear at the top of the Premier League standings.

Jesus, a former Manchester City player who suffered a right knee injury during Brazil’s 2022 World Cup campaign in Qatar, might be sidelined for up to three months for Mikel Arteta’s team.

Although the Gunners will undoubtedly suffer because of Jesus’ absence, Eriksson thinks the North London team can still win the English top-flight league championship this season.

Gabriel Jesus’ injury is terrible for Arsenal, but Eriksson told OLBG that he still believes they can win the Premier League.

I haven’t seen much of Eddie Nketiah, but I have seen a few games of Arsenal, and I think Mikel Arteta is doing a terrific job, the speaker continued.

Arsenal can defeat Manchester City, despite the fact that they don’t lose many games.
