Dean Saunders, a former striker for Liverpool and Aston Villa, has informed Frank Lampard that the Everton manager is in serious difficulty.

He did, however, advise the Premier League team against dismissing the legendary Chelsea manager.

After Everton’s Boxing Day loss to the inferior Wolves, Lampard found himself in even more difficulties.

The Toffees lost to Wolves 2-1 at home, with Rayan Ait-Nouri scoring the game-winning goal in the fifth minute of stoppage time to move Julen Lopetegui’s team up to 18th place in the Premier League standings.

Frank Lampard’s future at Goodison Park has been called into doubt by Evetton’s seven losses in their previous nine games, but Saunders thinks the team should continue with the former Chelsea midfielder.

Frank Lampard is in serious difficulty, but despite this, I wouldn’t fire him.

On commentary for talkSPORT 2, Saunders stated, “He’s trying to get this team on the right track.”

Saunders continued, “They can’t keep changing managers.
