Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, the premier Igbo sociocultural organization, has praised Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for adding his state to the list of oil-producing states.
According to kuryaloaded, the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) in Abuja approved the request of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s administration for Enugu to join other States in having oil producing status at a meeting late last year.
During a solidarity visit at the Government House, Governor Ugwuanyi had said to a delegation from the University of Nigeria, Alumni Association (UNAA), Nsukka Branch: “As I am leaving office, I am delighted that the money that will be coming to Enugu won’t be what I witnessed. We won’t experience what we did.
In response, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, the national president of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council, said the development was the outcome of Governor Ugwuanyi’s tenacity in a statement made available to DAILY POST on Wednesday.
The Enugu State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, doggedly pursued this goal until it was achieved, according to Okwu, who claimed that the Igbo youths were happy about it.
“What this means for Enugu State’s economy and growth is huge. The whole population of Enugu State, including the unborn, has won.
We, the entire Igbo youth, applaud the governor for his unwavering drive and never-give-up spirit, which gave rise to the success story we are celebrating.
Okwu continued, “These accomplishments, together with a number of others, have supported our support of the Governor for the Enugu North Senatorial seat.”
According to him, “Governor Ugwuanyi is one of those persons. The Senate is for experienced people who can quietly work and draw developmental projects to their senatorial districts.”
