Blair offers his condolences to the president of the AfDB for the loss of his mother

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair sent his condolences to Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), on the passing of his mother, Mrs. Eunice Adesina.

In a letter of sympathy to the head of the AfDB, Blair stated that the deceased had lived a happy life.

He sent his condolences to Adesina’s family as well, calling the loss as enormous.

The late Mrs. Adesina, who passed away on December 22, 2022, at the age of 92, was described by the former prime minister as diligent and a devoted Christian who did good for her immediate family and community.

“Cherie and I want to express our deep appreciation for your mother, her life, accomplishments, and exceptional grace and character, as well as our sincere sadness for your loss.

“She shown a crucial aptitude for learning and scholarship, which undoubtedly assisted her in returning to her alma mater, Otubu Memorial School, as a qualified teacher in 1949.

She was well-liked and regarded as a teacher, but it is a testament to her tenacity and resolve that she chose to launch her own company rather than be satisfied with being a teacher just.

Blair cited late Eunice’s character fortitude as a quality that set her apart from her contemporaries.

He said that the deceased had a wonderful career and that she ventured into various commercial fields, including catering, general retail, and dressmaking.

We all have the time on this earth that God has allotted to us, the former prime minister remarked, adding that the deceased left behind many happy memories.

Every life has its own experiences, memories, and occurrences.

The important thing is what we offer and receive in terms of service, care, and compassion because our actions have an impact on those who come after us.

If we have lived a good life and used our time wisely, that will leave its mark and an effect on the world.

“Rest in the serenity she so rightly deserves,” he prayed for the deceased.
