KURYALOADED has learned that a Toyota starlet returning from Adamawa State stepped on a bomb while traveling on a rural road between Bama and Kawuri in Konduga Local Government Area, killing all five people on board.

The driver, who was seriously hurt, passed away an hour later at a Maiduguri hospital.

There had been no attacks on the road from Bama to Konduga in the past six years, but recently rebels decided to lay bombs along the route.

Residents of Maiduguri have expressed shock at the latest development of events, as the return of terrorist operations is becoming new despite the government’s call for surrender.

The government has claimed that over 100,000 terrorists and their families have surrendered, but recent attacks show that much more work has to be done to combat terrorism, especially in Borno State.
