Former Liverpool defender Jose Enrique believes Brighton player Moises Caicedo will be furious after failing to secure a January transfer to Arsenal or Chelsea.

Caicedo piqued the interest of both Arsenal and Chelsea last month.

Brighton, on the other hand, turned down one bid from Chelsea and two bids from Arsenal for Caicedo’s signature.

Caicedo even posted on his social media account, pleading for Brighton to let him depart during the January transfer window in 2023.

The Seagulls, on the other hand, were clear that they did not want to sell the Ecuador international in the middle of the season.

The 21-year-old will now remain at Brighton for the rest of the season, and Enrique feels he will be unhappy.

On Wednesday, Enrique commented on a post by transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano on Instagram, saying, “He will be very upset. However, the club has considerable authority. You’re under contract, and they don’t want you to depart during the season. So it’s reasonable from Brighton’s perspective.”
