Following Argentina’s victory at the FIFA World Cup, Toure declared that he favors Messi to Ronaldo, another former teammate from Barcelona.
Messi and Ronaldo, former players for Real Madrid and Barcelona, are unquestionably two of the best footballers of this age and possibly all-time.
Together, the two have received 12 Ballon d’Or trophies in addition to numerous other honors.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Toure, a former Manchester City great, acknowledged his love for the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner.
“I’m a fan of Messi, and I believe that everyone is aware of what he has accomplished and what he is capable of becoming.”
