President Muhammadu Buhari expressed condolences on the death of Dr Nuhu Sanusi, the first-class traditional ruler (Emir) of Dutse in Jigawa State, on Tuesday.
Buhari named the deceased as one of Northern Nigeria’s modernizing leaders in a condolence letter released by his media aide, Garba Shehu, in Abuja.
He expressed his and Nigeria’s condolences to the Dutse Emirate, the administration, and the people of Jigawa State in the wake of the tragic death.
Buhari expressed his condolences on the death of Sanuni, saying, “He was vital to the success Dutse had accomplished in the last three decades under his watch.”
“He was a grassroots person who was adored by all,” he continued.
Emir Sanusi was the Chancellor of Sokoto State University before his death.
