Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, better known by his stage name Mohbad, wrote to the Nigeria Police to report a death threat against him.

The late singer wrote to the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Force Criminal Investigation Department Annex, Lagos, on June 27, 2023, complaining about “threat to life, malicious damage of properties valued at the sum of five million naira, assault, occasional harm, oppression, and conduct likely to cause breach of peace against Samlarry, Elele, Obele, and others.”

On June 25, 2023, he alleged, he was accosted by individuals who said they were working for Oba Elegushi during a film shoot.

The ‘Peace’ singer said that the thugs were still threatening his life even after he nearly fled on the specified day.

The petition claims that on June 25, 2023, while filming a music video with fellow musician Zlatan Ibile. About fifteen of the aforementioned individuals, led by Samlarry Elegushi, barged into the location where I was filming, armed with firearms, knives, and other weapons, disrupting the production and damaging the equipment I had invested about five million naira in. They also began making death threats. They were angry and attacked me during this procedure. I was hurt but managed to get away.

These images are included as part of this petition. There is no way to get back the eight million naira (N8,000,000) I paid for the filming that was destroyed.

But they were bragging that they worked for Oba Elegushi and had been sent to deal with me for reasons unknown throughout the assault, and they have continued to threaten to kill me to this day if I am spotted.

Please use your excellent office to protect me from the aforementioned people and bring them to justice, Sir. I appreciate your quick response.

According to kuryaloadeds reporting, Mohbad died on a Tuesday and was buried in the Ikorodu neighborhood of Lagos on Wednesday.
