No longer can we afford to have gas delivered to every corner of the country – Salespeople whine ou

Marketers for petroleum products say they can no longer afford to ship their goods nationwide.

The increased cost of diesel fuel for their delivery trucks is to blame.

In several areas, the price per liter has increased to N1,100.

The marketers claimed that immediate action by the federal government was required to stem the crisis.

Natural Oil and Gas Suppliers Association of Nigeria (NOGASA)-affiliated marketers have taken this stance.

Their president, Benneth Korie, issued a statement sounding the alarm.

They complained loudly that diesel prices had been steadily climbing for the past few months.

With an eye toward calming price spikes and economic shocks, “NOGASA is worried about the ugly development and trying to understand why prices of diesel are going as high as N950 to N1,100 per litre in the market.”
