Graham Potter, the manager of Chelsea, has finally spoken on David Datro Fofana, the team’s most recent acquisition.

The west London club made the announcement on December 28 that it had achieved a pre-agreement with Molde FK for the permanent transfer of Fofana and that the young player will join the Blues in January.

On January 1st, Fofana watched Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest from the stands.

Potter said in his pre-match press conference that the 20-year-old is already at Stamford Bridge but needs to finish his clearances before he can play for the team in Thursday night’s Premier League match against Manchester City.

The Englishman added that Fofana would have time to practice so he could choose the best answer for his future professional move.

Potter stated, “He’s here right now, but we still need to wait for the clearances and all the formalities.”

He’s been taking a little break, so we’ll allow him some time to train and get evaluated before deciding how to move forward with his career.

“We are open-minded about it because he’s an exciting talent.”
