Ronaldo’s No. 7 shirt is a transfer bait used by Manchester United

When Wout Weghorst joins the team, Manchester United won’t let him wear the No. 7 jersey.

The forward, who is currently on loan from Burnley to Besiktas, will sign a short-term contract with the Red Devils.

According to Portuguese publication A Bola, Weghorst would serve as Anthony Martial’s backup but would not wear the No. 7 jersey that Ronaldo recently departed.

This is due to Richard Arnold, the manager of United, having made the offer to Joao Felix in an effort to sweeten any transaction.

United’s #1 goal for January continues to be the Atletico Madrid attacker.

Negotiations with the LaLiga team, however, are challenging because they require a high loan charge.
