The Ghana Police have issued a warning that the prohibition on alarmist new year’s predictions is still in effect and that those found guilty will face punishment.
Remember how the police last year forbade churches from holding new year’s prophecies because they were considered misleading?
According to the authorities, such forecasts have the potential to spread panic and are more likely to put lives in danger.
The police asserted that the prohibition was still in effect a year later.
The police spokesperson, Grace Ansah-Akrofi, issued a statement saying, “As the year 2022 draws to a conclusion, we wish to once again urge the general public, especially faith-based organisations, to maintain continued compliance with the law as it relates to the broadcast of prophesies.
