The CBN deadline has put Nigerians in a bind – Mustapha Lamido

The opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has raised concern over what Nigerians are experiencing as a result of a lack of redesigned Naira notes in circulation.

Dr. Mustapha Sule Lamido, the party’s gubernatorial candidate in Jigawa State, criticized this on Thursday while speaking to supporters in Sule-Tankarkar local government.

He stated that Nigerians are suffering as a result of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s deadline, particularly those in remote locations.

According to the kuryaloaded, traders in Jigawa State have closed their doors due to a lack of new Naira notes.

According to Lamido, a responsible government should implement policies that benefit its citizens rather than putting them in tough situations.

“What we noticed today during our march is people are suffering because of the rejection of the old notes by some traders, especially in rural regions.

“Spending your hard-earned money currently is an issue, and changing it is even more difficult due to the lack of bank availability in most towns,” he explained.

He criticized the APC administration for premeditated efforts to cause undue suffering for Nigerians.

“Aside from the tough predicament that the APC-led administration has thrown Nigerians via insecurity, fuel scarcity, inflation, and increases in university registration fees,” he says, “it is now adding salt to the hurts with its new naira strategy.”

However, the PDP gubernatorial candidate urged Nigerians to evaluate the situation and vote out the APC in the upcoming election.
