Glen Johnson suggests an EPL team that should sign Ronaldo as a wise decision

Former Chelsea defender Glen Johnson thinks that signing Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United for Arsenal would be a “logical choice.”

Johnson insisted that Ronaldo may serve as a solid backup for injured Arsenal attacker Gabriel Jesus.

Jesus, 25, suffered a right knee injury during Brazil’s 2022 World Cup campaign in Qatar, and Arsenal could be without him for up to three months.

The Gunners presently lead Manchester City, who is in second place in the Premier League standings, by five points.

According to Johnson, if Mikel Arteta’s team wants to win the Premier League championship, it would be a smart decision to sign the Portugal captain to a short-term deal.

“In terms of a temporary fix, then certainly, without a doubt. [Gabriel] Jesus is class, and if Arsenal is going to win the league and if Jesus is going to be out for three months, then if you’re trying to win the Premier League, you don’t have three months to wait.

Johnson stated that it would be prudent to sign Cristiano Ronaldo to a brief contract.
