All 20 clubs in the Nigeria Professional Football League have received a total of N200 million from the Interim Management Committee (IMC).
Prior to the 2022–2023 NPFL season, the teams would each get a take-off fund of N10 million.
For the new campaign, the IMC has opted for a condensed structure.
The new season will begin on Sunday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo with a single game between Akwa United and Bendel Insurance.
The remaining nine matches will take place one week later.
Last year, Rivers United won the championship.
