Jigawa Governor Badaru supports a N12,000 increase in the pension

The implementation of the new minimum monthly stipend for pensioners in the state of 12,000 naira N12,000 has been approved by Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar.

In a statement sent to journalists, Hussaini Ali Kila, the state head of the civil service, revealed this.

He stated that following negotiations between the Government and pension union, the new amended minimum monthly pension of N12,000 was agreed.

The Head of Service outlined how his office now has the authority to carry out the upward adjustment in accordance with the authorized template as a result of this approval.

Kila noted that the new pension payment’s increase would begin in January 2023.

He announced that a circular outlining the pension hike for retirees would be sent to all pertinent parties for immediate implementation beginning in January 2023.

“I applaud all parties involved and our patient retirees for their patience over the processes that ultimately led to a favorable resolution of the issue.

In the future, he added, “I look forward to a more proactive and flawless implementation of following increases so that our senior citizens who served their country reap the results of their labor from a grateful Jigawa State.”
