LaLiga announced on Friday that Barcelona and Real Madrid will meet in the inaugural Clásico of the 2023-2024 season on October 28.

Barça will host Real Madrid at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys, their makeshift home while Camp Nou undergoes renovations.

With four wins from four games, Madrid sits atop the league standings, two points ahead of Barcelona.

The two Spanish powerhouses met five times last season, including twice in LaLiga, once in the final of the Spanish Supercopa, and twice in the semis of the Copa del Rey.

Last October, Madrid triumphed 3-1 over Barca in LaLiga at the Bernabeu, but on January 15, Barca won the Supercopa final by the same score.

On April 5, Madrid overcame a 1-0 deficit from the first leg to triumph 4-0 at Camp Nou and advance in the Copa del Rey.

Barcelona’s 2-1 victory over Real Madrid at Camp Nou on March 19 sealed the Catalan club’s first LaLiga title since 1983.
