Uba and Suswan receive campaign offices from Akase

Terver Akase, the special adviser to the governor of Benue State on media and publicity, hosted party leaders, organizations, and other Konshisha Local Government Area residents for a Christmas gathering yesterday, December 21, 2022.

The event was held at Divine Academy in Igbo, Agbeede, and it drew hundreds of attendees from the Konshisha’s eleven council districts.

For the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP’s governorship candidate in the state, Rt Hon Titus Uba, and the party’s senatorial candidate for Benue North-East, Senator Gabriel Suswam, Hon Akase provided tastefully furnished and decorated campaign offices in Agbeede.

In his speech, Akase thanked the Konshisha party’s stakeholders and groups for their tremendous support while he was running for governor in 2023. He also said he was at home to inform them of his decision to fully support Engr Uba and other PDP candidates in order for them to win the election the following year.

According to him, the public should have confidence in Rt Hon Titus Uba, Senator Suswam, Hon Julius Atoruogh for the Jechira Federal Constituency, as well as Hon Agile Ordedoo Bem for the Konshisha State Assembly seat because they are respectable candidates who will keep their promises.

The Special Adviser urged Konshisha to reject any type of deceit packaged by others to mislead them about who to vote for in 2023, asserting that the PDP has demonstrated that it is the party that works for the interests of the people.

Governor Samuel Ortom praised the residents of Konshisha for their support of his administration. He was represented by Commissioner for Education Dr. Sarwuan Tarnongu. He also praised Akase for entertaining Konshisha stakeholders for Christmas and said that Akase has been a deserving and dependable assistant.

The governor promised the people that they would not be let down if they cast a large number of votes for Uba, Suswam, Atorough, and Agile in the elections the following year.

Earlier, in their separate remarks, the Chairman of the occasion, Chief Clement Adzuanongu, Chairlady of the occasion, Mrs Mwuese Ubebe, Konshisha Council Chairman, Mrs Christiana Amile-Gyuve, elder Chado Labar, former governorship aspirant, Engr Dondo Ahire, as well as PDP Konshisha party chairman, Hon Timothy Hwer, all commended Akase for organizing a great event and promised to work together for PDP’s victory.

Rt. Hon. Titus Uba, who was represented by Reverend Dr. John Tyonongu, Director, Religious and Cultural Engagement, PDP Campaign Management Committee, Senator Gabriel Suswam, Hon. Julius Atorough, and Hon. Agile Ordedoo Bem, expressed gratitude to Akase for the successful holiday gathering and vowed to keep his word if elected.

The former director general of the Terver Akase Governorship Campaign Organization, Engr. Conrad Terhide Utaan, the director general of Radio Benue, Dr. Charles Iornumbe, the former chairman of the Konshisha Council, Hon. Iorhen Shirsha, and the special assistant to Hon. Uba, Mr. Jacob Angor, were among the dignitaries in attendance.

The presentation and commissioning of the campaign offices for Senator Suswam and Hon. Uba was the highlight of the event.

At the occasion, well-known folk artists Gabon Akuhe, Thaddeus Tsaga, TK Baba, Swuem u Tiv, and Jaspa entertained the audience with songs.
