The Eiyenkorin-Peke-Okolowo Axis in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State, will be the target of a joint operation between the Nigerian Air Force’s 303 Medium Airlift Group (MAG) Ilorin and other security organizations on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2022.

This was said in a statement made on Friday in Ilorin by Air Commodore Ibrahim Garba Jibia, commander of the 303 Medium Airlift Group.

Exercise Apejopo Idi, which means “gathering of the Eagles,” is the codename for the operation, which will go through the end of December.

In the Eiyenkorin-Peke-Okolowo Axis, Exercise Apejopo Idi, scheduled for December 16–31, 2022, intends to comb the bushes and vulnerable settlements with the help of NAF ground and air assets.

Along with the 22 Brigade, the DSS, the police, the local vigilante, and the hunters’ organizations, he added, “the operation would also involve the bad apples and any potential kidnappers’ nest along that axis.”

In order to provide security along the broad area of Eiyenkorin-Peke-Okolowo, he continued, the operation would require a significant army movement.

All peace-loving citizens were urged to follow their usual routines amid the crisis rather than entertain any fears.
