Alhaji Abubakar Hussain Abubakar has been deposed from his position as Dan Lawan of Hadejia by the Emirate Council.
This information was released to the KURYALOADED in a statement signed by Alhaji Muhammad Baffale Abbas, secretary of the emirate council.
The statement said that he was fired because of his connection in illegal drug dealing.
The statement claims the council made the call after receiving correspondence from the NDLEA on the emir’s involvement with illegal substances.
According to the statement, the traditional title holder ignored NDLEA’s invitation to respond to the charge.
Some of the council’s conversations were with his closest acquaintances, who “confirmed the allegation,” as stated in the statement.
The council’s secretary explained that the vote was meant to send a message to the community.
