The Nigeria Digital Identification for Development, NDID4D project of the federal government has made intentions to start a pilot enrollment in Abuja and six states public.
The External Communication Manager for NDID4D, Mouktar Adamu, informed kuryaloaded in a statement on Friday.
According to the announcement, starting in February 2023, NDID4D will work with the National Orientation Agency, NOA, to implement the project throughout Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.
NDID4D’s coordinator, Solomon Odole, stated during a courtesy visit to the NOA office in Abuja that the project’s goal is to increase the number of people in Nigeria who have a National Identity Number (NIN).
According to him, NDID4D is committed to enlisting over 250 million people from marginalized and difficult-to-reach communities throughout the course of the initiative.
