Frank Lebouef said the Chelsea manager will be fired due to Potter’s major disaster

Frank Lebouef called Chelsea’s impending acquisition of Mikhailo Mudryk, a transfer target for Arsenal, “a major disaster.”

Chelsea spent a total of £280 million during the summer transfer window, ranking among the top spenders.

Raheem Sterling from Manchester City, Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli, and Marc Cucurella from Brighton were all acquired by the West London club.

These players, though, haven’t exactly lived up to their high asking prices, and former defender Lebouef worries that Graham Potter won’t be given the time he needs to reassemble the team.

The Blues are aiming to add more players this month and appear prepared to make offers for Mudryk. They have also reportedly reached an agreement to sign Enzo Fernandez, an Argentina World Cup hero.

Lebouef thought that Chelsea’s interest in both players was yet another sign that they were simply trying to buy their way out of their many problems.

He stated to ESPN FC: “It’s tragic in a way that Mr. Potter shouldn’t have signed because he knew he would be in a washing machine if he knew he had no fingerprints to place inside the club.

“Someone always has to pay the price because you can’t just switch five or six players, and that person is invariably the coach.

“We can all see the problems with that team. I don’t believe Mr. Potter has a chance to create anything; instead, I believed he was chosen to reverse Chelsea’s policy of not investing in stars.

“We watch all those players struggle because there is absolutely no concept or strategy. Because he is the leader of the team, Mr. Potter is the only one who is able to have a strategy.

“It will be a huge mess. It is what we now have. It’s a massive mess because you buy the players and put them all together without knowing what to do with them.
