Men of God should focus on speaking truth to power rather than making predictions for the coming year, says Pastor Giwa

Pastor Adewale Giwa of Nigeria revealed on Tuesday that some men of God have abandoned their callings by reciting prophesies for the coming year.

Giwa, the Senior Pastor of the Awaiting the Second Coming of Jesus Christ Ministry in Akure, Ondo State, stated that one of his responsibilities as a man of God is to preach the gospel and confront injustice.

He claimed that no prophet could claim to be able to see what is going on in other countries if he or she cannot see what is wrong in his own country.

He emphasized that winning souls for Christ and feeding people with the Bible is the ultimate goal of any man of God.

Giwa emphasized that none of the front-runners in the upcoming presidential election appeared committed to finding solutions to the many problems the nation is currently facing.

He emphasized that a new constitution is necessary in order to create a better country in which Nigerians can take pride. Only then would the nation experience the desired turnaround.
