Thierry Henry, a former striker for Arsenal and Barcelona, has informed Belgium that he wants to lead their national team in the future.
Roberto Martinez’s assistant, Henry, has now quit the position after Martinez’s team was eliminated from the 2022 World Cup.
Henry wants to fill the position that is still open and is prepared to accept less money than Martinez.
According to HLN, while not formally applying for the job, he has expressed his interest.
When Henry was an assistant coach for the first time, he made about £88,500.
Martinez, who served as both the technical director and the recipient of bonuses, earned almost £2.65 million annually in comparison.
Toby Alderweireld and Romelu Lukaku have already made it known that they support Henry for the position. https://dailypost.ng/2023/01/02/lukaku-names-manager-to-succeed-roberto-martinez-as-belgiums-new-coach.
